A THEORITICAL STUDY ON SOCIAL MEDIA ANDIPOLITICAL PARTIS OF UTTAR PRADESH

Abstract

The study aims to explore theoritical knowledge of social media on the political partis
in Uttar Pradesh. The secondary data only was used by the researcher. The study's political
parties are Indian National Congress, BJP, BSP & SP. The political parties were chosen
based on their performance in the 2022 Assembly elections. The BJP and the SP are the two
major political parties on the basis of results. The findings of the study is shows thet the BJP
has been a pioneer in use of digital media for political mobilization. The party has mostly
exploited social media for the same aim. The Samajwadi Party has also exploited social
media to expand its presence in Uttar Pradesh. The Akhilesh Yadav-led party utilised social
media for political campaigns. Live streaming of Akhilesh Yadav rallies was reaching people
in various parts of Uttar Pradesh.
