Spam Detection for YouTube Comments
Main Article Content
Abstract
Sending unsolicited messages via a messaging system is known as spamming. For users,
YouTube is a major source of information. The best thing about YouTube is that you can
subscribe to a channel, like or dislike a video, and also express your thoughts in the
comments section of that video. Comment spamming is a surefire way to bring in the trolls.
Comments on YouTube can be moderated, but the tools available are so limited that the
volume of spam is so high that the site's administrators have no choice but to disable the
feature.
As a result, businesses and academics have taken very different approaches to developing
social networking platforms that are free of spam. Machine Learning algorithms are used to
conduct the survey for spam comment detection.
