Effect of Attribution Retraining on Academic Resilience of Adolescents

Abstract
The present study explores the effect of Attribution retraining on Academic resilience of
adolescents. The sample consist of 100 students (50 experimental and 50 control group) of
8th grade from two schools of Ludhiana district of Punjab. Modules of attribution retraining
( developed by the investigators) and the Academic resilience scale by Mihir Kumar Mallick
& Simranjit Kaur (2015) were used as tools for data collection. The results of the study
showed that the level of academic resilience of the experimental group was improved significantly
after Attribution retraining intervention as compared to adolescents in control group.
The study yielded significant results, which has valuable implications for students and trainers
in the academic settings.
