Abstract

The modern era is getting meteoric at a great speed. In that scenario, technology should be
advanced for every purpose. All of the foregoing technologies require high-speed network
devices. In this research, we have proposed a new method of high-speed data transmission
using a short Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) using the ROACM frame. Only the control
field, path, and ROACM CRC are calculated at each networking device in accordance with this
new frame structure. Through this research, we have improvised LAN and WAN structures.
We did an analysis of a different number of routers/hops to get a better idea of the performance
of this method. With the help of the CRC ROACM approach, switches and routers can handle
the enormous amount of traffic that bandwidth-hungry applications, IPv6 addresses, cloud
computing, and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies are causing to continue growing. This
method's final output is highly encouraging for inclusion in current switches and routers.
