Abstract

In the current era of IoT, the implementation of smart devices allows organizations to perform ingeniously by communicating not only among people but also among things. The primary demand in manufacturing organizations is to develop a system to monitor, regulate, and optimize the parameters for energy utilization. At present, Industry faces issues with implementing IoT concepts for reliability and interoperability for Energy Management System. Furthermore, it is very expensive to build comprehensive EMS for industry, due to the unique performance requirements of various elements. The presented research work is oriented to develop the system for addressing this current demand of industry. The proposed system stands on two facets. First is to fetch real-time data associated with gas consumption. Second is to analyze the collected data. Utilization of the data analysis for improvement in the daily operations of industry is the preceding stride of proposed EMS. To create EMS, devices are configured using ARDUINO UNO controllers. To develop an application based system and validated in industry. The research article is directed towards the concept of smart metering for gas consumption monitoring in order to improve the performance of industries in energy management. The research article will facilitate industrialist as well as academician in their research work.
