Sewage and Health Monitoring using Iot

Abstract
India has announced a project of making smart cities. For making a smart city one needs to
consider many parameters such as smart home, smart television, smart transportation etc.
There will be need of smart underground framework which includes underground water
pipelines interaction cables, gas, pipelines, electric flow etc. Drainage adoption is very
important in India. This system work in a proper manner to keep the city clean safe and
healthy. If they fail to maintain the drainage system, pure water may get contaminated with
drainage water and can spread infectious diseases. Most toxic gases are spread in air and its
make more pollution and so different kind of work has to done to detect, monitor and manage
the drainage systems. This project represents the implementation and design functions for
monitoring, detecting and managing underground drainage system with different approaches.
Every year, a large number of sanitation workers die as a result of erratic and inadequate
equipment, as well as harmful toxic gases released while cleaning sewage. Real-time health
monitoring systems for such workers will be useful, this device can be used as a safety device
in a sewage system. This project was created to keep monitoring the worker's health as well
as the environment in which he or she works. The gas and temperature sensors are used to
ensure the presence of contaminants in the air as well as the temperature. The worker's health
is also monitored by using the heartbeat sensor, and if there is any abnormality in the
environment or in the worker's health, the data is sent to the microcontroller, where it can be
alert the all worker’s by buzzer.
