ISLAMIC ECO-POLITINOMICS: ITS CONCEPT AND BACKGROUND

Abstract

The term Islamic Eco-Politinomics emerged from the combination of the term Islamic ecology and Islamic political economy. The need to explore the term Islamic Eco-Politinomics came about from the desire for details about the field because Islamic ecology and Islamic political econo my have been discussed but discussions on the connection of the two terms have yet to materialise. In comparison, studies on conventional Eco-Politinomics have been carried out by Western scholars for some time. Efforts to further understand Islamic eco-politinomics, its concept and background are examined in this article. The document analysis method was used to obtain secondary data, which were then analysed using the content analysis method. The analysis yielded the Islamic ecology and Islamic political economy concepts, which were then combined to form the Islamic Eco-Politinomic concept. Elaboration on the background of the Islamic Eco-Politinomic concept began with discussions on Western scholars’ line of thinking that forms conventional eco-politinomics, which was first examined in the 1930s and continues until today. Although today, after 90 years since the introduction of conventional eco-politinomics, Islamic Eco-Politinomics has yet to be studied. Therefore, this article is the pioneer study in the field of Islamic Eco-Politinomics.
