Optimization of Modified Delta Winglet for the Maximum Thermo Hydraulic Performance in A Channel Flow Using Response Surface Method

The Augmentation of heat transmission has been a significant study area for a long time. A
winglet/ vortex generator is the latest method for improving heat transmission. This study
optimized a modified delta winglet-type vortex generator using the response surface
methodology in a channel flow. Thermo hydraulic performance/ Performance Evaluation
Criteria (PEC) of a modified delta fin plate in a channel flow can be augmented using
experimental and numerical work. The response surface methodology used to optimize the
value of PEC of a modified delta winglet on the rectangular fin plate in a channel flow. The
range of air velocity from 1 to 6 m/s, heat power from 1 to 300 and the attack angle of
Winglets from 30 to 60 degrees taken to calculate the optimized value of PEC. ANOVA also
performed to check the accuracy of the parameters. The PEC performance was obtained,
11.82%, after the optimization, which agrees with the experiment's outcomes.
