A Proposed Framework for Information Retrieval using Bacterial Foraging Algorithm
Main Article Content
Abstract
Information Retrieval (IR) is the progression of acquiring needed information that is
appropriate for the required collection of information. The main intent of document
information retrieval is the extraction of significant knowledge from the collection of
documents. In the context of a huge volume of documents, information retrieval has failed,
and hence, the Bacterial Foraging Algorithm (BFA) has been introduced. In The K Means
Clustering-based pre-processing phase is incorporated to split the document into a distinct
cluster, and Bacterial Foraging Algorithm is used in the document exploration process carried
in the pre-processed cluster. The performance comparison of runtime and returned document
with diverse cluster, comparison of runtime and returned document with diverse minimum
support, comparison of CPU runtime for different user requests, comparison of quality of
documents in thousands The proposed Document Information Retrieval has attained
efficiency by the adoption of the Bacterial Foraging Algorithm (DIR-BFA).
