Abstract

Live streaming is one of the most popular and rapidly developing communication methods available today. Since these contacts are a decent substitute for in-person meetings, they are particularly helpful in resolving a variety of issues brought on by distance. However, they struggle with several problems like bandwidth restrictions, network congestion, energy efficiency, price, reliability, and connectivity. As a result, the two most crucial factors for this kind of communication are thought to be service quality and experience quality. In this paper one of the most IPTV application which is live stream have been implemented based on multiple protocol. The protocols considered are HLS, MPEG-TS and RTMP. Different encoding methods are used for each protocol (H264 and H265) using Flussonic media server. The comparison of the three protocols with respect to the encoding methods also presented in terms of I/P Bit rate, O/P Bit rate, O/P resolution and O/P ACC Audio codec. The result shows that the HLS protocol have better performance compared to the other streaming protocols considered in this paper, in terms of I/P bit rate, O/P bit rate while the O/P resolution and O/P ACC Audio codec are the same for the protocols using H265 coding standard.
