Contenido principal del artículo
Resumen
This study explores the role of transformational leadership in enhancing teacher engagement and motivation within the framework of Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education). Using a cross-sectional research design, primary data were collected from 200 educators through a structured questionnaire employing a non-probabilistic convenience sampling method. Descriptive statistics and regression analysis were used to assess the impact of leadership styles on teacher engagement and motivation. Findings revealed that transformational leadership significantly and positively influences teacher motivation, with a strong correlation and high explanatory power. Teachers under transformational leaders demonstrated higher emotional investment, enthusiasm, and commitment to institutional goals. Additionally, managerial leadership and both teacher and manager engagement were also found to contribute positively, though to a lesser degree. The study highlights the importance of visionary, ethical, and supportive leadership in fostering a motivated teaching workforce committed to achieving inclusive and equitable quality education as outlined in SDG 4.
