Resumen

Power quality matters more than ever these days, especially with all the sensitive electronics and non-linear loads we use. Voltage sags and swells? They’re the usual culprits, causing most of the headaches for commercial and industrial systems. In this work, I dig into how to model and simulate a DVR, and then test how well it really takes care of sudden drops or spikes in voltage. The whole point is to see if the DVR can truly keep things steady when the power supply starts acting up. With MATLAB/Simulink, you can run all sorts of fault scenarios—think balanced voltage sags or sudden swells. The simulations make it clear: the DVR steps in, steadies the voltage fast and precisely, and helps the system bounce back almost instantly when trouble hits. Hysteresis voltage regulation also gives the inverter some extra efficiency, so the system runs smoother overall. Bottom line, this study shows the Dynamic Voltage Restorer really works. It's an affordable way to shore up power quality and keep sensitive equipment safe from voltage problems in distribution networks—no need to spend a fortune.
