Resumen

The field of brain-computer interface (BCI) is a cutting-edge, multidisciplinary area of
ongoing research that is based on hardware, biomedical sensors, signal processing, and
neuroscience. In the past few decades, this field has seen a number of ground-breaking
studies. There hasn't yet been a thorough evaluation that covers signal processing of BCI
using Machine Learning (ML). Therefore, the review article is presented to provide an
overview on BCI. When it comes to carrying out activities relating to BCI, ML approaches
are incredibly productive and promising. The feature extraction is necessary for the creation
of an accurate and dependable BCI system for which ML is a more advantageous and helpful
technique because of its effective feature learning and complicated pattern recognition
properties. Through commercialization, the benefits of this discipline must be made
accessible to the general public, and this involves the mutual efforts of the scientific
researchers and IT industry.
