BER Analysis of OFDM and FBMC for MIMO Systems

Resumen
Filter Bank Multicarrier (FBMC) is one of the prominent and suitable waveform for the nextgeneration
wireless communications due to better spectral properties compared with the
conventional Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM). The objective of this
work is to design a MIMO system that is highly efficient using Filter Bank Multicarrier
technique. This technique outperforms the system which employs OFDM in MIMO by
providing high spectral efficiency. The efficiency is obtained at the cost of imaginary
interference which will be eliminated by spreading the signals over time or frequency. Thus
the implementation of FBMC in MIMO along with spreading of signals over time using
Hadamard matrices tends to provide a greater efficient system which can uphold the future
generations need.
